Dirt Bag + Physics + Passion = Design

This week we sat down with Casey Shaw. Casey is an Innovation Designer in the Outdoor Industry. He was also the former manager of the Forge; Patagonia's R&D Department. Casey was born and lived in Canada through college, where he studied physics. His passion for the mountains took him out on the road climbing rock and ice for a good long time. His experiences in the field had him asking questions such as,"why do you use this equipment" or "why do you dress like this" or "wonder if we were to do it this way?" Casey is a soft-spoken design force in the outdoor industry; many of us today enjoy better clothing and equipment because of his talents.
