This week we talk to Liz McLaurin. Liz succeeded The Land Trust for Tennessee’s founding President and CEO, Jeanie Nelson. During her first year as President and CEO, The Land Trust for Tennessee protected over 18,000 acres and brought over $16 Million to the closing table for conservation. In 2015, Liz led a strategic planning process that charts the course for the organization through 2020. In 2018, she spearheaded the relocation of the organization’s Nashville office to the historic Glen Leven Farm, rooting the organization in a place that embodies both its vision and mission. This year, under her leadership, The Land Trust has undertaken a strategic conservation planning process that sets priorities for proactive conservation across the state.
